I need to explain that last post. I wanted to compare Opera and Konqueror-embeded on my Zaurus. I opened this page to try to make a post from the Z using both browsers.
I installed Sharp ROM 2.37 but it didn't feel the same as OZ...it feels inadequate, so I decided to try to use some of the apps I used in OZ. Konqueror doesn't install using the .ipkg GUI installer. I had install it by commandline. I installed it on my SD card. I don't know if that was a no-no or not, but I soon found out that the Z runs out of memory pretty quickly using Konqueror...I dunno if its the app that's the problem or the fact that I put it on my 128MB SD card. I'll uninstall it and try to reinstall it in internal memory soon.
I took screenshots by commandline:
sleep 10 ; /home/sharp/bin/scshot shot
sleep 10 -- pauses 10 seconds before taking the screenshot
/home/shar/bin/scshot -- screenshot binary that comes with the Zaurus
shot -- name of screenshot file, .bmp format
I'll include these screenshots as soon as possible, here, in this entry.
Edit: here are the screenshots:

The first two are: 1) Opera, 2) Konqueror. The others are just screenshots of various tabs and icons.
Look at the way (on this page) the previous log entry is truncated. It's like that because Konqueror wouldn't generate a scrollbar for this long entry window. Since I couldn't scroll, I couldn't see what I was typing, unless I pressed the return key at the edge of the window. The last line is long, as I'd thought that Konqueror would make the window automatically scroll down when the window reached bottom...it didn't. At the edge of the right-justified part of the paragraph, it didn't scroll down and I was typing blindly.
Opera didn't do this but the window it generated was so small, it was next to useless.
The actual pages where the readership reads renders fine...both browsers don't seem to like framed HTML pages though.
Well, it's late and I'm tired. Our dryer broke tonight so I'll be busy tomorrow trying to figure out how/where to get a new one (I don't think ours is fixable). G'night.
