Yes, I'm still here. Nothing new on the Zaurus homefront. I want to maybe buy another Zaurus. I'm thinking on the 5600. Then again, I hardly touch my current Zaurus. I just don't have time to play with it. Yes, I use it from time to time but as a very basic PIM. What I really do is read webpages that are stored on a CF card: The Slackware Book, which is posted at the Slackware main site, http://www.slackware.com, and the FreeBSD handbook, which is also posted at http://www.freebsd.org. I usually read those when I'm waiting for a Doctor's appointment or other such time-consuming "hurry up and wait" events.

I'd like to try OZ again, sometime soon and also get connectivity between the Z and my Slackware'd laptop and FreeBSD'd desktop. Last I tried OZ, it was certainly nice, but lacked basic things that other PDAs had (backup utility, for one). If the OZ developers took that energy they'd used to add all the eyecandy and use it to fix the things that really need fixing, OZ would be totally awesome. Alas, its not.

Well, I have to get back to work...I'm posting this from my work workstation. Later.
